In 1995, Tan Hill Inn was the first Public House to obtain a licence to hold wedding ceremonies under new laws that allow people to marry in places other than a church or registry office. North Yorkshire is now said to be the most popular location to get married outside the Church in Great Britain. It's easy to understand why when you see our breathtaking scenery and unbelievable hospitality.....
The Tan Hill Inn provides a unique and romantic setting as a Yorkshire Wedding Venue and Swaledale Wedding Venue. Set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales this is a lovely Yorkshire wedding and civil ceremonies setting.
Due to overwhelming demand we have renewed our licence to once again host weddings & civil ceremonies at Tan Hill.

Full registrar services can be arranged.
The Barn venue fully decorated with flowers and seating to your requirements.
Table service Banquets, Buffets, Hog Roasts and Cold Sandwich platters can all be arranged to compliment your special day.
Accommodation available for the wedding party and selected guests.
Alternative accommodation can also be sought and provided in the local area.
Transport to and from Tan Hill can be arranged for guests.
Live Bands to suit all tastes in music can be provided.
A Pianist, DJ and even a Karaoke can be provided to make your day special.
Digital Photography and Web-Cam broadcast Service for those who are unable to attend the special day.
